Such a decent option until they release a special Prem fullback(++) card. Try adding him interceptor and aerial PS too before evolving, just to improve some defensive skills.

Both are similar players defense-wise: strong, tall, relatively fast,... Stam has better positioning and awareness defensiverly, as Konate has a slightly better passing to take the ball out of defense. I have read multiple and extreme opinions on Konate (for many he is inconsistent, clumsy, dull), but Stam seems to be really appreciated by the comunity as he is really good in-game.

Could be the Football Manager "Segundo Volante", who quite resembles a box-to-box CM. Basically a complete CDM that can go up a bit and move through more than a pivotal role. But I'm just guessing
