If you are getting outpaced with a lengthy defender that has perfect defensive positioning and bruiser+ (and wins every shoulder to shoulder run) then it's a huge skill issue ngl

already used him for 200 games. review before sbc: Cdm: very good, strong tackling and physical presence, great for the cdm crawl meta. tried engine and shadow, engine best since passing/dribbling need help. feels shakier than de Jong on ball due to worse mobility/pass but engine helps CM: solid box-to-box, strong defensively but late runs are mid from low attack pos and weak finishing, though still usable if you read gk moves. engine must at cm imo

people that complain about him are AI defenders, for a manual defender you don't notice the lack of intercept at all, the ball is glued to his feet whenever i manually intercept and with his long legs and anticipate his tackling is very clean. 3 wf not noticeable whatsoever in his passing. I played 120 min in champs with him and his stamina was low but he still performed fine. my only critique of him is that his physical tackles are kind of weak so it's better with normal tackles. I use engine

I'm surprised by the negative comments on this card, do you all just see 74 pace and decide it's a **** card? I've used him since the start, and he's amazing. Auto-defender essentially. If you know how to use advanced defending then his bruiser+ can destroy anyone, even Gyökeres or Haaland. With defender++ and 93 defensive awareness and 92 interceptions he's almost maxed out on a shadow, and with lengthy he's not even that slow. He only lacks a jockey playstyle but after jockey got buffed it's not even that big of an issue anymore.

Bought like 70 of him at 900-1000 each, seems like a no brainer investment to me

If you use him as CAM, use deadeye. He needs the +9 passing boost as well as boosting his shooting. Dribbling is S-tier already, and pace not super important as a cam/playmaker++ (would be more important for shadow striker).

its quite stationary and doesnt run behind striker and doesnt track back. worked really well with Lavelle because you could just aim for her and then use her pinged pass to wherever you wanted but it's quite a niche playstyle imo

it is, there are just more alternatives which means more supply, but almost none of the new cards are better than the top gold cards which is why they hold their value pretty well. the other option would be to make all new cards worse. by making random cards compete (but not make them better) than top meta gold cards makes it so that we see more variation in teams without having to get rid of gold cards

have you actually tried him lb? he doesn't get obliterated on the wings that's a lie. in counters he gets good value from his lengthy and catches up to anyone and with his size he bullies most wingers. defensive awareness also feels top notch. his main issue is that he feels clunky and passing lets him down which are both important in the fullback role

he's very important for me in champs, currently 7-1, he's playing LM with his role++/build-up and I dont use him to score (or even assist that much). but he's crazy rapid with Catalyst and feels good on the ball, and he defends decently too. very good to stretch the ball and his progressive carrying is elite

struggled with him the first 2-3 games but now he bangs hattricks every game. The trick is to shoot with his right. everyone overprotects his left foot so turn to his right foot when he receives the ball with the ball to goal and the low driven+ will score every time even with the weak foot
