Since the start of this FIFA, I've gotten Gold 1 once and the rest elite 3/2. Out of the elites I've made, I've been shafted with terrible player picks and depressing totw packs. However when I got Gold 1, I got red Kane and wijnaldum, and a walkout out of the 2 100k packs. Elite rewards for me are just pathetic, and I feel that Gold 1 is just the better option. I feel that 1 of 4 player picks are way more consistent than 1 of 5s, and it makes me feel that I should just start getting Gold 1 each week, instead of getting stitched up with shocking elite rewards.
