no one seems to give you an actual explanation so I guess I do it. there was a special upgrade that otw cards could get if their club won 5/10 games psg did that so messi got his upgrade. If you want another example look at otw sabitzer he never got a totw but he still got an upgrade cuz of bayern winning 5/10 games
