DanI can’t lie, UEFA Dreamchasers won’t be a promo I’ll miss too much, it was fun but nothing special. However the next promo lined up is all time favourite and based on previous years is our last before Team of The Season!
What is FUT Immortals?
It’s a new name, but FUT Immortals is Golzao and Trophy Titans re-skinned. It’s an Icon and Hero only promo with potentially more than one version of these cards in packs. We’ll see both boosted and ‘baby’ versions of players, for example in FC 24 we had an 89 Berbatov but also a 93 Berbatov in packs at the same time.
Release Date
FUT Immortals starts today! Friday (4th of April). There’s been nothing confirmed but as we’ve seen with both Golazo and Trophy Titans, we can presume this will be a two week promo, with a week off before TOTS kicks off!
Beckenbauer Returns, again…
The UEFA Dreamchasers promo saw Franz Beckenbauer added to the Icon collection for FC 25. It may have only been two weeks but he’s already in line for his first promo card. His Immortals Icon will be part of Team 1 and in packs from 6pm with what looks to be an incredible 96 rated item.
Card Design
I say this a lot, the design team behind the FC 25 cards deserve so much credit because they have been immense this year, and I think they might have peaked here. We’re talking about an all timer of a card design here. I’m seeing a lot of love for the Icon, but the Hero is where I’m looking. Two stunning cards and I can’t wait to see none of them in my packs.
FUT Immortals Evolutions
An Evolution design has been added to the Web App labelled as ‘Become Immortal Icon’ and the same for Heroes. This could just be the card type being used in specific Evolutions or we could see a similar concept to Future Stars Academy where we were able to turn our players into Icons…
Who Is In FUT Immortals Team 1?
Whilst we’ve had nothing confirmed for Immortal players, we do know that there are 25 Icons and Heroes without a special card in FC 25. Surely in a promo specific to them, we see a few of these feature for the first time?
Golazo Drogba
DDA Drogba will go down in FC 24 history, with one of the most broken items of the year. It’s only right we see him back in some capacity for this promo. We’ve put together an Objective concept for an On This Day Icon Drogba, hopefully we see something similar!
